Android is often offended by its battery use capability. Google implements the AI technology in the battery use. But no further.

Adaptive Brightness

Another AI-powered feature is Adaptive brightness.
Have you ever feel irritating with the brightness. When you in-door, we may probably use low brightness. But when we go outside we use the high brightness. The process is manual till now. We have to set the brightness ever time, whenever required.
ut the problem is solved. Adaptive brightness, will learn the condition and adjust the brightness automatically. Is not a good one. The brightness will adjust automatically according to your environment and activities.

App Actions predicts what you’re about to do next. Let’s simplify this process. Let’s say you have connected your headphones, it will show you the playlist you were listening to earlier in front of you.
It will appear like a suggestion box pop-up. You will go with the suggestion or just ignore it. So you can get your next task more quickly. It also AI-powered and learns from your daily use of a phone.

Android 9 offers support for headsets with sound delay reporting. So video on your device and audio on your headphones can always stay in sync.

HD Audio

Google also updated its OS for Audio quality improvements. Now it supports HD audio delivering clearer, sharper, and richer quality sound.

Volume memory per Bluetooth device

This is quite a smart update. Now your OS will remember the last volume you set for each of the Bluetooth devices you have connected in the past.
So when you connect to the speaker next time no blasting of music too loudly. You may have such type of experience in the past.

HEIF (High-Efficiency Image File Format)

AS the name suggests Android Pie now supports HEIF photos on the Android platform.

6 – Camera update

There is a trend of camera among the phone manufacturers. I think the days of single-camera phones may be over.
Let’s take a small example to trace my lines. When I meet my friend, they ask me several questions related to mobile. The most common question among them is this, “are you using a single camera phone or dual camera phone”.
My answer is “a single camera phone”. There immediate replay like this, “It is 2018, Still you are using single camera phone?”. Buy a dual camera phone.
Then I just replay to them, “I am waiting for a phone that has more than 6 cameras”.
I told them like this because the number of the camera in a phone is increasing day by day. It is not impossible to have 6 cameras.
Ok, lets come to the topic.
A number of cameras are increasing day by day, Google also needs to update its Android version.

Multi-camera support

Android 9 gives developers the freedom that they can create immersive experiences using streams from two or more physical cameras. Whatever may be the devices with either dual-front or dual-back cameras. Examples include stereo vision, depth, bokeh and more you name it.

External camera support

You may have seen the small cameras that can be attached with your phone through USB/UVC port. Android 9 now also supports that type of external USB / UVC cameras on certain devices.

Privacy and security update

Google always care about the user’s privacy. All the updates from Google must contain some security updates.
This version also comes with some privacy and security updates.
Android 9 enables encryption of Android backups with a client-side secret (the device PIN, pattern or password) for greater security.
It also includes a standardized biometric authentication prompt to provide a next level security and consistent authentication experience across Android.
A StrongBox update has come. It allows the apps to take advantage of the tamper-resistant hardware (Hardware component) to protect their private keys. This will make harder for malware to steal the credentials of a user.
For privacy, Android will restrict the access to your phone’s hardware components like a microphone, camera, or other sensors when an app is idle or running in the background.
Android Pie also brings important improvements that protect all web communications (browsing) and offer private web surfing. This may protect users from the hackers.
