Entry level DSLR from Canon since Nikon decided they’re not interested in making any. Given it’s price point, don’t expect much. Nonetheless, there’s WiFi so you don’t have to carry a laptop with you all the time. What we don’t like is the fact that the burst mode allows only 3fps shooting. Not a great dampener, but disappointing. Also, you will have to compromise on the AF points and the display. Nothing that shouldn’t stop you from taking great photographs, but not making life too easy either. Also, don’t let the name fool you. Both 1300D and 1500D are better cameras.

This one is an ancient model but still not outdated. Some of the features that stand out include 5fps continuous shooting, 24MP sensor, and a large battery. But get the D3400, honestly. It’s a better camera for the same price.

One of the more recent offerings from Canon, but entry-level nonetheless. The 1500D gets you a larger sensor (in megapixel count) over the 1500D. Then, there’s also NFC and WiFI which is great. What disappoints are the AF points, 3fps burst shooting mode, and limited ISO range.

AF Points: An expensive camera will be having higher AF points but in this range the maximum you’ll get in India is 11. Therefore, if your priority is more object oriented go for higher AF points.
Connectivity: It is very important in its own way. The memory cards for these cameras are expensive so it can be really great to share pictures to your smartphone or laptop wireless, it’s all about ease. Also, now you can remotely control your camera just by your smartphone.
